Special Collections Room Under Construction
Construction of a Special Collections Room is in full swing. Chief Justice Joe R. Greenhill, Sr. and his family donated many of the chief justice’s personal papers and memorabilia to the Texas Wesleyan School of Law Dee J. Kelly Law Library to establish an archive for the use of researchers interested in Texas judicial issues and history. The Judge Joe R. Greenhill, Sr. Papers at the Dee J. Kelly Law Library contains bound volumes, notes, correspondence, photographs, memorabilia, and other materials documenting his career and life. His generosity was the catalyst to the library's new focus on collecting and preserving certain significant Texas legal papers. In September 2009, visitors were invited to the Law Library to see a preview of the collection as well as drawings of the future Special Collections Room. We are pleased that this construction is underway and look forward to making the collection available in the near future.
