Health insurance is available through student membership in the American Bar Association or the Texas Bar Association. You can learn more about the insurance plans on the web sites of these organizations:

1. At the home page for the ABA: http://www.abanet.org/lsd/home.html - click on “Insurance” where you will find information on health insurance.

2. The State Bar of Texas maintains an insurance trust in conjunction with Aetna to provide health insurance to both lawyers and law students. Go to www.sbotit.com and you will find information for plan enrollment.

3. Texas Wesleyan University offers health insurance to students through Academic Health Plans. You can review this policy and enroll online at www.ahpcare.com/txwes or by calling (888) 308-7320; or contact Paige Cook at the campus clinic at (817) 531-4948 or pcook@txwes.edu.
